Wheat harvest underway in northwest Iran

Approximately one thousand hectares of land in the northwestern city of Maragheh are cultivated with wheat, and local farmers are harvesting the crop.

According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Iran produced over 13 million tons of wheat in 2022 and 13.5 million tons in 2023.
